C-Valves serves customers worldwide with innovative valve solutions that deliver dramatic improvements in water supply stability. The bottom line for C-Valves is measured in reduced fluctuation of water supply, reduced unaccounted for water, fewer bursts, and reduced maintenance costs.
Very low head loss, smooth flow, energy saving The unique hydrodynamic structure of the valves delivers a high flow factor and enables operation at very high flow rates with low pressure losses compared to other control valves available on the market.
The C-Valves 4" valve has a KV value of 435 (Cv=508). Note: The flow factor KV is the flow rate at full opening, expressed in m3 /hr, when a pressure drop of 1 bar is registered.
Valve operates as normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO) C‑Valves piston actuated valves are available as Normally Closed (NC) or Normally Open (NO). The transition is obtained by a simple modular change, with no need for hydraulic relays or external tubing. •Choose Normally Closed when your main concern is avoiding bursts. The valve will fail-safe close - avoiding damage to your infrastructure and to customers from excessive pressure. •Choose Normally Open when your main concern is uninterrupted water supply. In the absence of water pressure the valve will fail-safe open, allowing for full inlet pressure into the system. Accurate and stable regulation for a wide range of pressures and flow rates C‑Valves regulate pressure over a wide range of flow rates, including near zero flows as well as static conditions. While other valves actually introduce instability, C-Valve`s unique 3-way pilot and hydrodynamic structure enable stable regulation without need for a by-pass.
Available as Fix Ratio Pressure-Reducing valves C-Valves are available as Fix Ratio Pressure-Reducing valves, where outlet pressure = 0.62 of the inlet pressure.
The valve actuator enables operation even at low pressures and in vacuum conditions A pair of pistons enable operation even when the control pressure is lower than the inlet pressure. The actuator is double-chambered and bi-directional, independent of the pressure and flow direction. The control chambers are isolated from the pipe flow, enabling control by a different media (such as compressed gas or water).
High resistance to corrosion and cavitation The structure and construction materials used in C-Valves provide higher resistance to corrosion and cavitation than traditional valves.
Quick response maintains constant and stable pressure Very rapid response to changing hydraulic conditions enables C Valves to maintain constant and stable pressure. Only 2-13 seconds for a full stroke of opening and closing are required for valve actuation (depending on the model and the pressure). The process is smooth and nearly noiseless thanks to declining rate of closure towards the end of the process. Opening and closing time can be prolonged at the customer`s request. •Smooth flow regulation reduces leakage and enables a lower set pressure, while prolonging the life of water system infrastructure. •Conventional valves start the closing cycle slowly and accelerate toward the end of the closing cycle, causing water surge in the system. •C Valves close to 90% very rapidly and then slow down in the next 10%. The result is surge minimization.
Surge restriction The valve`s swift response (valve and 3-way pilot) affords special protection of the downstream supply system by depressing upstream surge pressures and relieving over pressures into the atmosphere in fractions of a second. •Reduced bursting. •Significant savings on expensive waster system repairs.
Robust symmetric construction for high pressure Symmetric construction provides mutual support between the actuator housing and the valve body cylinder, enabling production of plastic valves of a larger diameter and lower weight for higher pressures, flow rate and tougher working conditions than other valves available in the market.
Robust functioning for corrosive environments Reinforced, high strength, engineered plastic materials enable the valves to function under corrosive conditions.
High mechanical resistance for low maintenance costs Symmetric structure and balance of forces means that C-Valves excel in low wear characteristics. A replaceable sleeve with a very low friction factor protects the moving parts. Only a few inexpensive parts are required to maintain full performance for long periods of service.
High pressure and large diameters models C-Valves are available manufactured with metal casing, or stud bolts, giving the valve additional strength. Since the casing does not come in contact with the flow, the chemical and corrosion resistance of the valve is unaffected.
Control manifold All feeding, control and sensing ports are integrated in the valve structure as internal ducts and are connected to a special control manifold, which enables the replacement of the control system without dismantling the tubing.
Almost noise-free operation Due to its hydrodynamic structure, valve operation is almost noiseless, even in extreme regulating conditions and is far quieter than other control valves available on the market.
Multi-Valves A modular assembly comprised of between two and six M1-PN20 valves mounted on a hydrodynamic manifold, which enables control of relatively high flows. A single command base plate and 3-way pilot control the assembly. All C-Valves applications are available. Optional butterfly valves installed as partition valves enable maintenance without break to the water supply. Several Multi-Valves can be installed in parallel to handle very high flow rates.
Parallel Valves Two parallel lines` manifold incorporating one or two M1 or M3 valves with butterfly valves and an air release port. The C-Parallel (two valves) provides a perfectly reliable water supply. (A malfunction in the operating NC valve will automatically close the valve and open the stand-by valve). The parallel is a compact system that enables the reducing of the pit size and costs while taking advantage of the C-Valves inherited advantages. A simpler system configuration is also available - B-Parallel, which is comprised of one Pressure-Reducing valve and a by-pass with a butterfly isolation valve to maintain the water supply (without regulation) while the valve is being serviced.
All applications are available combined with the unique C-Valve pilots series: On/Off valves, Electric valves, Pressure-Reducers, Pressure-Sustainers, Flow Control valves, Pool valves, Pump valves and various combinations for our N.O. and N.C. models including control by an electronic controller.
