DESIGNERS WORKING FRAME
On-Off valves, 4" & 6" are designed to handle flows at 0 to 2200 GPM (550M3/H). Due to average field conditions it is recommended to install a 6" valve when having to handle flow rates above 900 GPM (200 M3/H).

The recommendations hereunder relate to minimal downstream pressure of
29 PSI/2 BAR. Lower downstream pressure requires the involvement of C Valves'
application department for a valve custom design.
For higher pressure ratios it is recommended to install a Fix Ratio Pressure reducing
valve (0.62 of the upstream pressure) prior to and inline with a pressure
reducing valve.
For a few hours a month the valve can double the flow rates handled
by it, for example when fighting fires etc.
