OVERVIEW
1. Surge Quick Relief Valve (QR)
Maintains the pressure so as not to exceed the pre-set value by providing immediate relief of the excess pressures from the line to the atmosphere.
Basic double-chambered valve, N.O (normally open -fail open), with
a multi-directional ball valve, 3-way pilot and hydraulic accelerator.
The valve opens swiftly (fraction of a second) and relieves the line
pressure - up to thousands of GPM.
The valve closes slowly to prevent return surge.
Accurate relief (permissible deviation of up to 0.5 m).
It is recommended to assemble an external control filter, in addition
to the existing flushing in-line filter. The external filter is an optional
component of all M1 series.
The valve can be operated by remote hydraulic or electrical control.
2. Surge Anticipating Control Valve (QS)
The surge relief valve protects the system from surges by relieving the line to the atmosphere in the event of the upstream pressure rise or fall from the preset pressure (the working pressure), for example in the event of electrical power supply failure.
Basic double-chambered valve, N.O (normally open - fail open),
hydraulic with a multi-directional ball valve, 3-way C-VALVE double
pilot and hydraulic accelerator.
The valve opens swiftly (fraction of second) and relieves the line
pressure - up to thousands of GPM.
The valve closes slowly to prevent return surge.
Gives accurate relief (permissible deviation of up to 0.5 m).
It is recommended to assemble an external control filter in addition to
the existing flusher in-line, which is an integral part of M1 valves.
The valve can be remote operated hydraulically or electrically.
